Wordpaths

Wordpaths privacy

Effective October 23, 2026. Wordpaths is published by ASH Dev Studio. This policy covers the Wordpaths iOS and Android apps, including test builds, and the web version.

Your progress stays with you

Your routes, Undo history, hint and solution use, appearance and reminder settings, and which days you covered a board are saved on your device or in your browser. They are not uploaded for cloud syncing. There are no Wordpaths accounts, advertising or gameplay analytics. The native apps offer an optional one-time Premium purchase; the web game does not process purchases.

Daily boards

To get each day’s boards, the apps and the web game ask colinhanson.dev for today’s puzzles, and for one authored solution when you take a hint or show a solution. These requests contain no player identifier. Like any web request, they carry ordinary connection details, such as your IP address and device or browser details, which the hosting provider (Cloudflare) uses to deliver and protect the service. The apps keep released boards and progress on the device. Offline practice boards and their hints are generated entirely on the device.

Native Premium purchases

The Apple App Store or Google Play handles payment. RevenueCat processes an app-generated billing identifier, store transactions and purchase history, product information, and ordinary device and connection details to verify and restore Premium. We do not receive payment-card details. Billing records are separate from local game progress. A future word-game bundle may use a deliberately linked billing identity; anonymous purchases are not automatically linked between games. RevenueCat operates under its privacy policy.

Optional reminders and sharing

If you turn on the daily reminder in the app, your device schedules a local notification. We do not register a remote push token or send your reminder settings to a server. You can turn reminders off in the app or in system settings. Sharing opens your system share sheet with a spoiler-free result and a link; you choose whether and where to send it, and that service then handles what you share.

Links and support

External pages, the App Store and Google Play operate under their own privacy policies. Sending support email shares the information you choose to send with our email provider so we can respond. We keep support correspondence as needed to handle your request.

Removing data

On iOS, use Delete App to remove saved progress; offloading the app keeps its data. On Android, clear the app’s storage or uninstall it. In the web version, clear this site’s browser storage. Device backups or transfers may preserve app data according to your system settings; we do not operate a cloud-save service. Removing the app does not remove store or RevenueCat purchase records retained for restoration and legal obligations. Contact us about billing data removal.

Children and changes

Wordpaths is intended for a general audience of teens and adults, rather than children under 13. We do not knowingly collect children’s personal information. Material changes to data use will be reflected here and in the relevant store disclosures.
