Wordclips privacy
Effective October 26, 2026. Wordclips is published by ASH Dev Studio. This policy covers the Wordclips iOS and Android apps and the web version.
Your progress stays with you
Puzzle progress, Undo history, hint or reveal use, stats, streaks and settings are saved on your device or in your browser. These saves are not uploaded for cloud syncing. The apps include released sample and daily puzzles for offline access and can download newly released puzzles and solution help. There are no Wordclips accounts, advertising SDKs or third-party advertising analytics. Generated practice boards and totals in native Premium builds also stay on your device.
Premium purchases in native builds
Native builds with Premium use Apple or Google for payment and RevenueCat to validate and restore a lifetime unlock. RevenueCat receives a random app-specific customer ID, transaction and purchase-history information, and device, app and network information needed to provide billing. This service is separate from optional gameplay analytics. We do not receive your card details, send your puzzle answers to RevenueCat, or link billing IDs to Wordchute. Restore uses the original store account; purchases do not transfer between Apple and Google. Restoring Premium does not restore device-local puzzle history. Contact support for billing-data questions or deletion requests. Deleting local progress does not cancel or refund a store purchase. Earlier five-sample native builds and the web game have no purchase flow.
Optional usage data
Usage sharing is off by default. If you enable it in Settings, Wordclips can send app-specific random installation and session IDs, public puzzle IDs and revisions, puzzle dates and sizes, play actions, action counts, foreground timings and completion or assistance outcomes to our first-party service. We use this information to improve puzzle difficulty and controls. It excludes your words, letter arrangements, tile paths, reminder time, contact details and advertising identifiers. Delivery can wait on your device while offline. Turning usage sharing off removes queued events and the local analytics ID. Raw events are retained for up to 90 days; aggregate reports contain no installation or session IDs. The collection service remains disabled until its release configuration and store disclosures are ready.
Optional reminders and sharing
If you enable reminders, your device schedules a local notification. We do not register a remote push token or send your reminder settings to a server. You can turn reminders off in the app or system settings. Sharing opens your system share sheet with a puzzle result and link. You choose whether and where to send it; that service then handles what you share.
Web hosting and links
The web game and public privacy page are hosted through Cloudflare. Visiting them sends ordinary web-request information, including your IP address and browser details, to the hosting provider to deliver and protect the site. External pages, the App Store, TestFlight and Google Play operate under their own privacy policies. Sending support email shares the information you choose to send with our email provider so we can respond.
Keeping and removing data
On iOS, use Delete App to remove local progress; offloading the app keeps its data. On Android, clear the app’s storage or uninstall to remove local progress. In the web version, clear this site’s browser storage. Device backups or transfers may preserve app data according to your system settings; we do not operate a cloud-save service. We keep support correspondence as needed to handle your request.
Children and changes
Wordclips is intended for a general audience of teens and adults, rather than children under 13. We do not knowingly collect children’s personal information. Material changes to data use will be reflected here and in the relevant store disclosures.
